COVID-19 Protocols

At Neighbourhood Pet Clinic, safety is our top priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure we are available to continue to serve your family, and to protect our team and visitors, we have modified our clinic flow. We are currently asking that all visitors check-in with the team member at the front door upon arrival, who will direct you accordingly (please do not cross the bridge until you’ve been checked in).

ALL INSIDE VISITORS MUST BE MASKED AT THIS TIME.

Please note that one fully-masked adult may enter the exam room for medical appointments with a veterinarian. Our park will be open to a small number of visitors as necessary, however, we encourage anyone who is able to take advantage of curbside service for treatment appointments, grooms, and product pick up. Please read below for more information on the protocols related to your appointment type.

We encourage you to check this page for the most up-to-date information regarding our COVID-19 protocols. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

MEDICAL EXAMS (Curbside or Inside)

Please check in with the team member at the front door upon arrival. When the medical team is ready for your furry family member, one person may accompany them directly into the exam room. This person must be properly masked for the duration fo their visit.

Our exam rooms are quite small, enclosed spaces, so to increase safety for our visitors and our team, we have installed air purifiers that emit 100% natural, air-based solutions that work to completely disinfect hard and soft surfaces.

We will continue to offer curbside exams to accomodate those who cannot wear a mask or as an option for anyone who is more comfortable remaining outside for their furry family member’s appointment. Ask our team about video streaming options so that you can participate in the exam virtually from the parking lot (or even from the comfort and convenience of home).

Note: All individuals must notify our team PRIOR to your appointment if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with any ill individuals, or should currently be self-isolating under government guidelines. Arrangements will be made in these circumstances.

GROOMING (door check-in)

Please check in with the team member at the front door upon arrival. Masks must be worn inside. We encourage all grooming drop-offs and pick-ups to take place at the door (before the bridge) and that visitors minimize their time spent in our front park area.

TREATMENT (door check-in/curbside)

Please check in with the team member at the front door upon arrival. All treatment appointments (nail trims, anal gland expressions, bandage changes, blood draws, etc.) will take place with a veterinary technician in our treatment room while their parents wait. To minimize the number of people in our waiting area, we encourage you to remain outside or in your vehicle while your furry family member is with our team for care.

PRODUCT PICK UP (door check-in/drive-thru)

We encourage all product pick-ups to take place by checking in at our front door or through the drive-thru at Westmount. Our front park will be open to a small number of visitors, however, we ask that you call in your order ahead of time or submit a Product Request / Prescription Request through our website to ensure your product is ready when you arrive. When you come to pick up your item, please follow the signs for product pick up and a team member will assist you. Westmount visitors should take advantage of our drive-thru for product pickup. Also note that for your convenience, we also offer free delivery on all product orders within the City of London as well as automatic reorder of your recurring products when you sign up for our Product Subscription Service.

DELIVERY & SHUTTLE (pets only)

To support safe social distancing, as always, we will continue to offer free delivery on all food, treats, prescriptions, and products. Don’t forget that we can also automatically reorder your recurring products with our Product Subscription Service so you never run out of food, medication, or cat litter.

We have had to suspend all in-home services in light of the pandemic. For more information, see our Mobile Services page.

However, we know that the need for accessible veterinary care doesn’t stop during a pandemic. While we are unable to provide transportation to humans at this time, our pet shuttle is still fully operational! We can bring your furry family member to their exam, and thanks to our video streaming technology, you can participate in their visit from the comfort of home, just like you would if you were here with us!
